These are good thoughts. I am prone to depression or melancholy and I know that working out and getting exercise has a profound effect on my attitudes and my joy in God. Working out also has the effect of making my personal devotions much more consistent.

I am thankful for God giving me a brother who is also my brother in Christ and who helps me grow closer to Christ by challenging me to be ambitious in living a thankful life. You know brother that this does not come naturally to me, so thank you for putting in front of me once again.

Hey Rob,

Amazing read, I am one of the few men who still enjoy books and don’t often get the “mindcandy” mentality. I do agree that 90% or so of my friends and peers are turned off by anything they “cannot get into” in the first 2 pages or 2 sentences. Sad and very disheartening!

I look forward to reading the Chansky book you suggested and maybe posting a comment when I get through! Blessings!

Rob, haven’t even had a chance to talk to you about this but here is one question no one has answered for me. What was the crime what was (I say was because Haitian law changes daily.) the law they broke. Not even the New’s has said what paper work was needed. I have been to many countries, All I needed to get out of the US is my drivers license (that has only been since 9/11) but I have needed paperwork to get in to another country, if I didn’t have it they would simply turn me back. So totally aside from all the other garbage I’ve been hearing who can answer this question? Hilliary certainly is not asking or answering this question but then what has she ever done for her people she seems more concern to help the corrupt Haitian Gov. Certainly out tax dollars are going to this Gov. P.S. Did you know this country is Tortuga of Pirates the The Caribbean I think the Gov is trying to get one of the Parents to say they took their child without permission but there were to many witnesses since the parents were all together on it. Anyway the bottom line pray Satan is at work but Our God is greater and can turn the tables on all of it.

Thanks Rob. I have been astounded at the church’s response to these missionaries. I am ashamed to admit that if I did not know these people and love these people, I might react as judgmentally as everyone else. After all, look what a bad light Christians are being painted in because of them. How amazing that the media can infiltrate us so profoundly that we cannot even see our own brothers and sisters in this situation and have pity. I have wanted to write something on Mark Driscoll’s wall asking people to pray, but I’m afraid I would be kicked off of his fan page! Nikki- the 18 yr. old home schooler had called me just a week or so before she left asking for my counsel about a boy who was courting her. Her mom (in jail with her) has 5 other kids at home missing her. Carla’s (another prisoner) daughter flew back from college to be with her dad and brother while they frantically try to get help from the govt. Yes, these are real people and I am not going to stop bothering Hillary Clinton until she does something instead of “respecting” the Haitian legal system that has been ranked at a 1.8 out of 10 for it’s corruption.
